Deathloop Weapons Guide

Deathloop Weapons

There are a lot of really good Deathloop guns, with some of the best weapons offering a range of perks and abilities that will make life a lot easier. The basics you can grab off almost any enemy you take out, but some of the special ones require defeating the Visionary bosses or completing various puzzles and challenges.

Weapon Rarity and Perks

Deathloop offers different types of weapons in five different rarities. These are gray, green, blue, purple, and gold.

Deathloop Weapons

Gray weapons have no Trinket slots, green and blue weapons have one and two Trinket slots, while purple weapons have three Trinket slots. A special ability is available for purple weapons as well. Perks include the ability to automatically tag foes when you shoot them, deal more damage to tagged enemies, or use silent weapons on them.

Gold weapons are the rarest ones. To get a gold weapon, players must complete a side quest (Arsenal Lead).

Common Weapons

These weapons are common and easy to find. You can find these weapons everywhere.

PT-6 ‘SPIKER’

Deathloop guide: Weapons

Ammo: Nails
Dual wield: Yes
Location: Everywhere, really

Best TrinketsLightning Strike (increased full-damage range), Sure Shot (increased accuracy)

The Spiker is one of the best weapons in Deathloop because it’s found everywhere and early, it’s silent, and a headshot with it is an instant kill. It’s perfect for stealth and sneaking, but it is not good in a firefight. Start with it, but immediately switch to a better (louder) weapon when things go sideways.

TRIBUNAL

Deathloop guide: Weapons

Ammo: Small Caliber
Dual wield: Yes
Location: Everywhere, really

Best TrinketsLightning Strike (increased full-damage range), Sure Shot (increased accuracy), Hipster (increased accuracy without aiming)

The Tribunal (or Tribunàl, as the game insists on calling it) is your basic semi-automatic pistol. It’s a workhorse.

LIMP-10

Ammo: Small Caliber
Dual wield: Yes
Location: Everywhere, really

Best TrinketsShock Absorber (reduced recoil)

The LIMP-10 is a basic submachine gun — it’s a lot like an Uzi in any other game. It’s got a good rate of fire, but a lot of recoil.

THE FOURPOUNDER

Deathloop guide: Weapons

Ammo: Large Caliber
Dual wield: Yes
Location: Everywhere, really; Harriet has purple versions in “Chaos Theory”

TrinketsDouble Trouble Character Trinket (increased accuracy while dual-wielding)

The Fourpounder is a revolver-like hand cannon. It’s loud, but has a lot of oomph. Fourpounders are a lot of fun to dual-wield.

RAPIER

Deathloop guide: Weapons

Ammo: Large Caliber
Dual wield: No
Location: Everywhere, really

Best TrinketsSpeedloader (increased reload speed), Big Box (increase magazine size)

The Rapier is a basic sniper rifle. It’s accurate and deadly from a distance, but it only has one shot per reload, and each reload is slow.

MG-1 ‘PEPPER MILL’

Ammo: Small Caliber
Dual wield: No
Location: Everywhere, really; “Heckin’ Good Plan” Arsenal Lead (Karl’s Bay, afternoon)

Best TrinketsSpeedloader (increased reload speed), Shock Absorber (reduced recoil), Big Box (increased magazine size)

The Pepper Mill is a big, loud machine gun. It’s versatile enough that you can pop off headshots from a distance while also mowing through crowds of Eternalists. It’s slow to reload and has substantial recoil, though.

VOPAT TRENCHER

Deathloop guide: Weapons

Ammo: Shells
Dual wield: No
Location: Everywhere, really

TrinketsSpeedloader (increased reload speed), Big Box (increased magazine size), Lightning Strike (increased full-damage range)

There’s not much to say about the Vopat Trencher. It’s a shotgun and it works like a shotgun. It’s got a low rate of fire (it’s a pump shotgun), a low reload speed, and a wide spread, so the Trinkets you add make all the difference.

STRELAK 50-50

Deathloop guide: Weapons

Ammo: Shells
Dual wield: No
Location: Everywhere, really

Best TrinketsSpeedloader (increased reload speed), Big Box (increased magazine size), Hailfire (increased rate of fire)

The Strelak 50-50 is basically a semi-automatic shotgun. It has a glacial reload speed, so the Speedloader Trinket is great for it. Increasing the already quick fire rate with a Hailfire Trinket makes this weapon extra deadly. It’s great for finishing off Visionaries and Julianna when the fight gets up close.

Deathloop Gold Weapons

Beyond the standard guns above, there are a few unique, gold-tier guns to find. Most of them are not part of main Leads — some have their own Arsenal Leads — so they’ll take a little work to collect. They’re also some of the best weapons in the game, so they’re worth it.

CONSTANCY AUTOMATIC

Deathloop guide: Weapons

Ammo: Small Caliber
Dual wield: No
Location: Loot from Frank during “The Ballad of Ramblin’ Frank”

Best TrinketsShock Absorber (reduced recoil)

Frank’s Constancy Automatic has two clips, which means you can reload and keep firing at the same time. Beyond that, it acts like a submachine gun. You just have to be careful because being able to fire while reloading makes it very easy to burn through all your ammo. It has a strong recoil, so the Shock Absorber Trinket should be the first one you equip.

STRELAK VERSO

Deathloop guide: Weapons

Ammo: Small Caliber
Dual wield: Yes and No
Location: “In This Together” Arsenal Lead in The Complex at noon

Best TrinketsDouble Trouble Character Trinket (increased accuracy while dual-wielding), Pistolero Character Trinket (increased damage while dual-wielding), Shock Absorber (reduced recoil)

The Strelak Verso is a pair of handguns that transform and combine into a three-round burst machine gun. They’re extremely cool. You’re committed to either dual-welding them as handguns, or using both hands to hold the machine gun version, so they’re not great weapons if you’re using your Hackamajig or Slab abilities a lot.

SEPULCHRA BRETEIRA

Ammo: Large Caliber
Dual wield: No
Location: “Keep On Giving” Arsenal Lead in Updaam in the afternoon

Best TrinketsSpeedloader (increased reload speed), Big Box (increased magazine size), Hailfire (increased rate of fire)

The Sepulchra Breteira is a much fancier sniper rifle with a scope and everything. It still only has one shot per reload, but the distance and accuracy make it great for clearing out Eternalists from a safe distance.

HERITAGE GUN

Deathloop guide: Weapons

Ammo: Shells
Dual wield: No
Location: “Super Shifty” Arsenal Lead in Karl’s Bay in the evening

Best TrinketsSpeedloader (increased reload speed), Sure Shot (increased accuracy)

The Heritage Gun is Deathloop’s other transforming gun. It’s got a shotgun and rifle mode, which makes it great across all distances. The “Super Shifty” Arsenal Lead takes a bit of work to complete, but the Heritage Gun is versatile enough to make it worth the effort.
