Twitch is now available on the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch eShop now has the streaming app accessible for download.

The app is 31 megabytes in size. We tried Twitch on our Switch and all things considered, it works well. The program can only be used to watch Twitch feeds, but you can’t stream straight from the Switch.

Twitch on Your Nintendo Switch

eShop description says, “Watch livestream gaming videos, Esports and any IRL broadcast on your Nintendo Switch device!” it reads. “Sports are here. Tune into your favourites: basketball, baseball, soccer, football, swimming, wrestling, hockey, pool, and much more through talk shows, league channels, Fantasy, and ESports.

Anyone experienced with Twitch’s recommendations or subscriptions will recognize the main menu, although it doesn’t appear like you can type into a streamer’s chat directly from the Switch. Rather than utilizing the Switch’s digital keyboard, you’ll need to scan a QR code, which opens up a streamer’s chat as a webpage on your phone, which looks more doable.

Twitch joins the ranks of other streaming apps such as Hulu, YouTube, and Funimation that have made their way to the Switch. Even though there’s Pokemon TV, but there’s still no Netflix.
