According to a leaked video discovered by UploadVR, Resident Evil 4 VR will receive a free update in 2022 that will include ‘The Mercenaries mode’.
According to the claim, a teaser for the much-desired Mercenaries mode emerged on the Oculus YouTube channel for a short time before being removed. Users were able to save the trailer and repost it on YouTube, though. The Mercenaries DLC is “arriving in 2022” as a “free update on Meta Quest 2,” according to the leaked teaser.
Resident Evil 4 VR Mercenaries DLC Announcement Trailer
Mercenaries were not included in Resident Evil 4 VR, which encourages you to kill hordes of opponents and collect as many points as possible before the timer runs out, which disappointed some fans of the game. The Mercenaries mode has been featured in all versions of RE4 — except for RE4VR, as UploadVR points out. RE3: Nemesis, RE5, RE6, RE Village, and its own offshoot RE: The Mercenaries 3D all featured the gameplay.
RE4VR was released on the Oculus Quest 2 last month without the previously included add-ons, such as The Mercenaries, Separate Ways, and Assignment: Ada.
Also, is replacing Oculus Quest 2’s name. It will be called Meta Quest 2.
As you can see from the leaked trailer, Meta – the parent organization of Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp, among other subsidiaries has replaced the “Oculus Quest 2” with its revamped name and logo. Meta plans on phasing out Oculus branding in 2022, just in time for The Mercenaries release. It will be called ‘Meta Quest 2.’
