But even though most of these images have been taken down from the Imgur site and elsewhere on social media, there are still a handful of screenshots are floating on social media.
It’s hard to tell what’s going on from the images, but we do get to see some of the game’s environments, some of which still have placeholder graphics. Therein lies the rub: these are likely not representative of the final product, and games change dramatically during development, so all of the maps, characters and weapons we see here are subject to change in future iterations.
These screenshots show players from both a first-person and third-person perspective, leading some to speculate that the game may give players the option of playing from either perspective.
It’s worth noting that some developers have mentioned Redfall on their LinkedIn profiles since August 2017, when the game was still in its early stages of development. Some fans may have been reassured by the news, especially since we have yet to see any gameplay footage.
Arcane Studios, the creators of Deathloop, Dishonored, and Prey is working on this new cooperative vampire-slaying game. It is coming to Xbox and PC in summer/Q3 2022. Because Redfall is part of the Microsoft family of studios thanks to the recent Bethesda acquisition, it will be available on Xbox from the moment it launches.
