With some Nintendo-themed creations, modders are taking Microsoft Flight Simulator on PC and Xbox Series X|S to new heights. ‘Illogicoma,’ a Twitter user, decided to recreate Mario Kart 8 tracks like Mount Wario, Cloudtop Cruise, Moo Moo Meadows, and even Rainbow Road.

Illogicoma used the “Blender2MSFS add-on” and then exported the tracks to get them into Microsoft Flight Simulator. While there isn’t as much interaction in this mod as coins, checkpoints, or anything else, though pilots can still glide through rings around each course and put their skills to the test. You can watch the mod in action on Illogicoma’s YouTube channel.

The Flight Simulator community has already gone so far with mods like adding helicopters to the game, and pilots have recently been flying directly into Hurricane Ida.

Microsoft Flight Simulator is one of the longest-running, best-known, and most comprehensive home flight simulator programs on the market. It was an early product in the Microsoft application portfolio and differed significantly from Microsoft’s other software, which was largely business-oriented. At 38 years old it is the longest-running PC video game series of all time that features 20+ highly detailed planes with unique flight models and 30+ hand-crafted airports.
