Insomniac Games announced Spider-Man 2, a sequel to Spider-Verse, which will be released exclusively on PlayStation 5 in 2023.

“While pushing the capabilities of the [PS5] will be very exciting, we’re equally pumped to craft all-new stories for Peter and Miles in this sequel,” Insomniac’s Ryan Schneider said in a post on the PlayStation blog. “Just as in our previous Spider-Man games, we not only want to tell a great Super Hero story, but also deliver a compelling human story, one full of heart and humor that dives deep into the people behind the mask.”

Many members of the original development team, including Bryan Intihar and Ryan Smith, will be returning for the sequel, Schneider continues to say. According to Lowenthal, Nadji Jeter will reprise his role as Miles, and Tony Todd will return to voice Venom.

After introducing the series with Marvel’s Spider-Man, Insomniac launched the PS5 with Spider-Man: Miles Morales, a fantastic stand-alone game. That spin-off hinted at a sequel starring Peter Parker and Miles, and it appears that Insomniac has been working on just that.

During the presentation, it was also revealed that Insomniac is working on a Wolverine game with Marvel.

  1. It’s running Real-Time PS5, however this doesn’t represent the quality of the game. Assets, Lighting, etc. This is simply because it is made with particular camera angles, animations, lighting, etc. And through these limited angles you can get more quality and performance for your view.

In a simplistic way, Think of it like FOV Sliders, the higher you have, the higher performance toll, the lower, the less you have.
