Hades Won 9 Awards at Global Industry Game Awards

Because of the 2020 pandemics, everything has been delayed to 2021 like Olympics, Euro, even the newly started Global Industry Game Awards. We are two months away from 2021’s The Game Award, but one organization is still highlighting the best in gaming from the previous year, 2020.

The International Game Developers Association has revealed the winners of the first Global Industry Game Awards 2021. They gave awards in 7 different categories and these are art, audio, design, engineering and technology, support, writing and narrative, and lastly in miscellaneous.

Hades, the popular roguelike game of 2020 developed by Supergiant Games took nine awards to home including voice acting, 2D animation, and representation. The Last of Us Part II, Ori and the Will of the Wisps, Half-Life: Alyx, and Ghost of Tsushima also won multiple awards in different categories.

Last year, Hades won numerous awards including the BAFTA Games Award for Best Game, IGN’s Game of The Year Award, The Game Award for Best Action Game. They gave mass popularity to the roguelike genre. Also, it’s the best roguelike game of our top 10 best roguelike games of 2021.

Hades was first released on Windows and Switch on September 17, 2020. Also, it came to Xbox Games Pass this month, as well as PS4 and PS5.
