Will Smith has finally made his way into the Fortnite universe. Early this month, there were several leaks and reports pointing to Smith’s likeliness appearing in Epic’s popular battle royale shooter. This evening, Epic Games made the move official by making Smith’s skin officially accessible in the game’s Item Shop.
Smith’s skin isn’t based on his real-life self, as we predicted. Rather, it’s based on the role of Mike Lowrey, which Smith played in the Bad Boys film series. “Mike Lowrey is one cool customer. Whether he’s involved in explosive action or a high-speed chase, he’s always undeniably smooth. And now, the South Beach detective is heading to Fortnite,” In a statement on its website, Epic Games announced the character’s inclusion in the game.
In addition to Lowrey’s skin, several Lowrey-related items have been added to the game. Lowrey also comes with the Detective’s Duffle, a piece of Back Bling. Handcuffs and an assault rifle are fastened to a regular bag. The Loose Cannon Cutters is Lowrey’s own pickaxe. When combined with Lowrey’s normal pickaxe, this item can be used in place of a standard pickaxe.
Since Lowrey’s entrance to Fortnite is now official, he’ll be available in the Item Shop right now. Lowrey should be available for a limited time on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile devices, starting right now.

It’s a cheap skin by Fortnite standards. For 1,500 V-Bucks, you can get the Mike Lowrey/Will Smith Skin Bundle, which includes the base skin and the back bling.
This bundle does not include the Loose Cannon Cutters that came with the character when it was released. For 500 V-Bucks, you can purchase this harvesting instrument in the Item Store.
