Last year, Crysis Remastered made its way to the Epic Games Store and on October 15th, the Crysis Trilogy Remastered will do the same with its freshly dry-cleaned nanosuits. However, Crysis Remastered is now available on Steam as of right this second.
Crysis Remastered is exactly what it sounds like: a remastered version of the classic 2006 first-person shooter, this time not only 4K and also 8K resolution. In September of last year, I didn’t feel overwhelmed when playing it. There isn’t much of a visual improvement, and chances are that most of the new features will be beyond the capabilities of your computer.
There are also flaws left over from the original game, as well as a reliance on the sequels’ nanosuit power system, which I believe is inferior.
Crysis Remastered Steam release
Consider that Crysis was an impressive graphical powerhouse in 2006, and the game still looks great in 2019. It also often drops the price on epic stores but even you can get the remaster with a 20% launch discount, just for $24. Instead of presenting the games to those of us with PCs and lengthy memories, Crysis Remastered – and likely the next Trilogy – is more fascinating for bringing the old ones to new consoles.
