A few days ago, many Console exclusives and unannounced titles for PC were leaked by a data-miner from Nvidia Geforce Now list. But Nvidia said that the list was for internal testing and the PC port of some of them won’t happen. Halo 5: Guardians is one of the games that appeared on the list

As part of the Master Chief Collection, several Halo games have been ported to the PC. But 343 Industries had not yet released Halo 5 on PC. As soon as the game appeared on the list, many fans hoped that it was in the works.

But sadly it’s not happening. 343 Industries community director Brian Jarrard has said on Twitter that this is not the case. “Maybe this was for “H5:Forge” but I can confirm there are no plans to bring H5 to PC. We know there’s some demand for it, but as we’ve stated before, not in the cards as the studio is fully focused on Infinite and MCC. Will never say never, but nothing underway currently.”

Halo 5: Forge was released on PC in 2016 and included a full Forge map editor and multiplayer support for Custom Games. The game was free-t0-play. But neither Halo 5’s campaign nor the full matchmaking suite have been released on PC.

Fans have also asked if Halo 5 would be added to Halo: The Master Chief Collection, but that’s also not happening.

Halo 5 may not be coming to PC, but Halo Infinite will be available on PC on December 1st, alongside the Xbox One. Halo Infinite was “built from the ground up for PC,” according to Microsoft. Advanced graphics settings and support for ultrawide/super ultrawide monitors will be included, as well as triple-key bindings and dynamic scaling/variable frame rates, according to the company’s announcement on Wednesday.
